Since my site is new here, i would like to introduce myself my name is Bryan Longlois and besides my avid compassion for all types of music, i also have a deep love for my own playing, mostly guitar., but a few other choice instruments which we wont get into today. For those unfamiliar with Mesa Boogie i would i would like to express my love for these amps and accessories. In the constant search for a uniqie sound of my own (which i am sure many of you guitar players understand well) i have played about 500 different amps. For those who have never experienced Mesa Boogie i wish i had one for everyone to play. My discovery of the original Bandit 50, was a snakeskin covered, one 15 “speaker, 35 watt( i believe), its been a long time ago as a guy i played with in the 80s had owned. For the first time in my 15 years of playing at that time i finally understood what FAT meant this tube amp was like those days long gone when all amps were tube. The sound of this Mesa Boogie made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It would take me days to explain all the joy ,awe, and satisafaction, that i got playing my friends boogie. Watching Lowell George play at folsum field in boulder colorado with Leon Russel was the first time i related(this amp) my younger days .This Mesa Boogie was the exact amp that i had been playing right down to the snakeskin. The most amazing thing was, is that was all George was using on stage sitting on a chair mic’ed throught the P.A.. 30,000 people in an outdoor field wher the colorado buffalos played and he was using a amp with one 15″ speaker and 35 watts. My rambling my dear friends is well desevered as this amp made a change in my understanding and feel for guitar sound and playing. Heres a review of the present day Mesa Boogie . Prices may be high but save up to buy one you will never regret the amazing sounds of these incredible amps. ” ya gotta play one” thanks
