The Fender Mustang has been somewhat forgotten over the years. Stratocasters, Telecasters, and Jazzmasters are usually the most talked about and sought after in the Fender world. But I’ve played some of these new Mustangs and the Squier Mustangs — and these are animals that need to be reckoned with.
With the pickup switch up top, it makes switching pickups easier at any time. I prefer the maple neck, and the ones I’ve played had excellent action right from the factory. No need to do any setup — these Mustangs play great right out of the box.
